HEXchain

Decentralized application to manage and purchase medical records.

This Dapp was developed at HEX Hackathon. I could convince a team to help build a decentralized platform to give patients control over their data and the ability to monetize it as well. We ended up in the finals and won the healthtech track with a prototyp on the Ethereum blockchain where doctors manage patients records and institutes acquire anonymized data from the patients. I took responsiblity for the blockchain backend, without previous experience. But succeeded in building a dapp using solidity, truffle, metamask and integrated it with a React frontend.

Terminal based game with custom communication protocol.

This project was developed during the "Telematics in Practice" lab at the KIT. The task was to design and implement a game-based communication protocol. After this project I learned how to develop custom protocols, learned python 3.6 (and used AsyncIO) and made a Terminal based game (Terminals are much cooler then I thought :p).

CarBook

A parking sharing app to discover/rent free parking places on the map.

The concept was developed in the "business planing for founders" seminar at the KIT. Our task consisted of making a business plan for the idea and develop a prototype. I worked on a real world problem in this project and got the chance to work with multideciplinary team. At the end I learned how to make a business plan, develop prototypes and pitch an idea.

I Like Fridges

iOS app to manage your fridge based on photos of grocery receipts.

This hack was developed at Hackzurich. The idea was to process the receipts before feeding them to Google OCR API, then parse the results and store them in a data base. The app gave the user realtime informations about his fridge but he had to take stuff out manually :p. It was a cool proof of concept and I had the chance to try React Native for the first time. After this project I got really interested to ML problems and decided to learn Python as well ;)

SPA frameworks comparison

Study and Evaluation of Angular2, React and Aurelia.

A detailed study of the state-of-the-art frontend frameworks. I learned in this project how to keep up with beta frameworks (Angular 2 and Aurelia had weekly updates), dig in the frameworks code, identify dev requirements for teams in different locations and discovered the frontend ecosystem and its requirements for developing complex frontend projects and their build systems.

Microkernel Ethernet Driver

Ethernet driver for Microkernel from Texas Instruments.

Designed and implemented an Ethernet Driver. The project was part of the System Design and implementation lab at the KIT. I had the chance to work with a team to design a driver and implement it. Since this was my first experience with low level project, I learned many concepts of system design.
